This is an interesting video on the red rain that occurred in India in 2001. Interestingly, it seems to be some form of life but has no DNA that we are aware of. This fits in what has been found out recently, that there are other forms of life that we have not been aware of until now. Here is an interesting story received from one of my readers. If you have personal stories and evidence of UFO's or 'Alien Beings' - please send and I will publish those which I feel fit in with the title of my blog, and according to my own subjective 'criteria'. I don't promise to publish every story but I will protect your privacy if requested. Some details are changed to protect the identity of the witnesses. Here is the story:-

There is an odd story that my cousin tells of a conversation with his father, my father's older brother that occurred when he was 16 years old. This would have been in the mid to late 1950's to mid 1960's. My father worked for 30 years or so for the Federal government at various Air Force bases as an investigator.

Anyway, according to my cousin in the late 1950's or early 1960's or so, his father (my uncle) told his son (my cousin) a strange story that my father had relayed just to his older brother (my uncle).
Apparently, my father was sent in Texas on some kind of investigation and something strange happened to the car in which he was riding with another investigator that involved blinding lights and something that stripped the paint off of the car. My cousin became excited upon hearing this from his father and privately asked my father about it. My father replied that he couldn't talk about it. So my cousin asked if he could ask my father's opinion, did he believe in alien life. My father smiled and said that he did. The strange thing about this is that both my father and his brother
were men of uncompromising honesty. As my aunt said, I never knew them ever to tell a lie in their entire life. My husband was the most honest man I ever knew.

I do not believe that either my Uncle or my father would make up such a story, even to "shine" a teen age boy. My father was also cut from the same cloth and though an intelligent and literate man, he was not given to wild speculation or imagination; definitely, he was a very down to earth type, as you might expect from a federal government employee charged with security during cold war.

I often wonder if my father ran into something that shook him up so badly that he would only share it with his older brother as he was under the strictest prohibition about discussing it. Also, I've wondered if there were some UFO sitings in Texas and that he might have been dispatched to do some kind of investigation or check something out? And in doing so bumped into something "unusual". My father was working at Tinker Air Force base in Oklahoma between say 1955 and 1961, but my cousin said he was 14 years of age when told this tale, so it might have closer to 1965 when this occurred?

Hardly conclusive proof but certainly a strange little family tale... Have you heard of anything happening in Texas around that time period that might match this kind of strange encounter?

Well actually - I found a couple of interesting cases of strange lights:

A case occurred in Texas that involved three individuals who allegedly witnessed a UFO touch down on a remote highway in front of them, and then after several minutes took off. They described being exposed to a blinding, very hot light that visibly burned the face and arms of one of the witnesses who had stepped out of the car. After the incident, and continuing for several days, they each suffered nausea and other physiological effects similar to those normally associated with radiation exposure. Doctors could not account for their condition. In addition, trees on either side of the highway were scorched and the paint on the highway itself was noticeably affected.

Case - Location. Near March Field California Date: early 1954 Time: unknown
Several witnesses were passing by the airfield in a vehicle when they observed a shiny disc shaped craft resting on the ground. In order to get a closer look they exited their vehicle and approached the object. The craft was smooth and silvery and there appeared to be no one around the object. The witnesses then decided to get even closer to the object when suddenly a man appeared and stepped in front of them. He raised his arm and threw what appeared to be a fireball at them. The fireball passed by them and struck their vehicle. The witnesses immediately fled the area, driving to the nearest police station. The being was described as tall, man like and wearing some sort of half mask on his face, apparently metallic. The fireball reportedly dented the side of the vehicle and burned the paint.

Owners New Car Has Paint Burned Off By UFO.
The following UFO event happened in my home town, Del Rio,Texas, in 1957. Although I did not personaly see the event happen, the whole town knew about it, and it was reported in the Local Newspaper, and admitted by the local police department and the local U.S.A.F Base near Del Rio. Here is Del Rio's real U.F.O. story as I remebered it from my youth in 1957: One night, a local Del Rio traveling salesman who frequently traveled east on US Highway 10, from Del Rio to San Antonio (165 miles away}, was engaged by a cigar shaped UFO. The UFO hovered over his car with oscillating multicolored lights. The UFO caused the car's engine and electrical system to shut down. When the salesman looked out his car window at the UFO, he was severely burned on his face. When the UFO left, the salesman being terrified, restarted his car and returned to Del Rio, (he was about 30 miles east of Del Rio when he encountered the UFO). When he reached Del Rio, he went to the hospital for burn treatment and the hospital reported the unusual circumstances to the Del Rio Police Dept. This type of encounter may not seem to odd until you hear the unusual thing that happened to the salesmans new "two-day old" car within the next few days. The next morning, it was obvious all the paint on the salesmans new car had been completely burned off. Within a few days the outside of the car had "totally rusted" from exposer to the UFO. The local Ford dealer could not account for the "sudden" paint loss and rusting on the car. As I recall, the local Ford dealer gave him a new car and the U.S. Air Force took the car away. The local Del Rio salesman suddenly left Del Rio and was never seen in Del Rio again. This story is true. It really happened in my home town in 1957. Many of the old-time residents in Del Rio remember going down to the police station and seeing the "new rusting car". On May 23, 1964, Jim Templeton, a former fireman from Carlisle in the North of England and a keen photographer, took his wife and 5 years old young daughter out to on Burgh Marsh overlooking the Solway Firth estuary eight miles west of Carlisle in Cumbria, UK, to take some photographs. They parked and walked out over the grassy expanse.
"...all the animals on that particular day were away on the other end of the marsh, all huddled together, as though they'd been frightened..."

There were sheep and cows grazing on the far side of the marsh, which Jim related later as being fairly unusual as normally the cattle would be scattered across the area, and a couple of old ladies knitting in a car parked at the roadside 300 to 400 yards away. The weather was warm and sunny, and everything seemed normal. At a good spot they decided to take a photograph of his daughter in her new dress sitting with a bunch of hand-picked flowers. The snap taken, they moved off and took many more pictures of the walk.
Some days later Mr Templeton got his photographs processed by the chemist, who said that it was a pity that the man who had walked past had spoilt the best shot of Elizabeth holding a bunch of flowers. Jim was puzzled. There had been nobody else on the marshes nearby at the time. But sure enough, on the picture in question there was something odd: overlooking her left shoulder, at a canted angle, was what appeared to be a man in a spacesuit. This figure was either extremely tall and capable of leaning off balance quite comfortably or was floating in the air. The figure did not reappear in any of the other photographs. Neither Jim nor his wife nor his daughter had seen anyone near them at the time of the photograph, let alone a tall man in a spacesuit.

Summary: Mr Jim Templeton, who was at the time with the Cumbrian Fire Brigade, took his daughter onto the marshes nearby to have her photograph taken in her new frock.

The case was reported to the police and taken up by Kodak, the film manufacturers, who offered free film for life to anyone who could solve the mystery when their experts failed. Kodak had investigated Jim Templeton's film and tested it for all known photographic faults and tampering. They believed the image to be genuine, so they decided to offer a reward to anyone who could explain the mysterious photograph. It has not been claimed. It was not, as the police at first guessed, a simple double exposure with one negative accidentally printed on top of another during processing. It was, as Chief Superintendent Oldcorn quickly concluded, just "one of those things... a freak picture."

Not long afterwards the editor of the Cumberland News newspaper contacted Jim and asked if he could borrow the negative to send a copy out to Australia. Apparently the photograph had appeared in the press there and staff working at the Woomera test range area in Southern Australia had seen it. Jim was told that the day after he took his photograph, a Blue Streak space rocket was due to be launched from Woomera in Australia. The countdown was postponed when two automatic survey camera had independently spotted two large figures in the firing area during the countdown phase. They were very similar in appearance to Jim's mysterious visitor. At the time of the launch, the photograph had not reached Australia and the staff had no knowledge of the bizarre image.

X-15 Rocket Plane - UFO Encounters on the Edge of Space

Hat Tip to LunaCognita for this great presentation which focuses on a pair of reported UFO incidents that occurred in 1962 during the X-15 Rocket Plane Research Program. Both these encounters, one during an April, 1962 X-15 flight by NASA test pilot Joseph Walker and the other during a July 1962 flight by USAF test pilot Major Robert White, took place at extremely high altitudes, right on the fringe of space.
During Major White's high-altitude test flight, while at apogee he reported sighting and visually tracking an unidentified object "for a full five seconds before it moved away". Two frames of film from the X-15's rear-facing "wing and empennage" stop-motion 16mm camera appear to capture an object (or objects) that seem to match Major White's visual description of the UFO he saw.
Several months earlier, during NASA test pilot Joe Walker's X-15 high-altitude flight, cameras aboard captured what Walker later described as being "five or six disc-shaped or cylindrical objects" near his aircraft.
During a May 11th, 1962 lecture at the "Second National Conference on the Peaceful Uses of Space Research" in Seattle, Washington, Joe Walker also claimed that one of his mission objectives during his April 1962 flight in the X-15 was to detect and film UFOs at high altitude.
During the lecture, Walker showed several photographs to the audience of these UFOs captured on film, although NASA has since only ever made one of these frames public.

A TV crew covered the incident and it screened on the 6pm news, but the film canister from the job was recently found empty in the station archives. Several witnesses say they were warned off speaking by sharply-dressed men in dark suits, in the principal's office and at home. Others recall school threats of detention for UFO talk. But talk there was, and coverage. The Dandenong Journal reported the incident on its front page for consecutive issues and ran interviews with witnesses. Many were school pupils who say they saw flying saucers from their school yards. Some ran to Grange Reserve, where the craft appeared to have come down. Terry Peck, 56, was among them. She says she was playing cricket on the oval, saw the saucer and chased after it to Grange Reserve. "Two girls were there before me. One was terribly upset and they were pale, really white, ghostly white. They just said they had passed out, fainted. One was taken to hospital in an ambulance, she says. Ms Peck says she saw a silver, classic-shape saucer rise up. "I was about 6m away from it. It was bigger than a car and circular. I think I saw some lights underneath it. "We all got called to an assembly ... and they told us all to keep quiet. "I'd absolutely just like someone to come forward from the services just to say 'yes, it did happen, and it landed and there was a cover-up'.

Jacqueline Argent, 58, in Form 3 then, says she saw a UFO from the oval and was one of the first three kids over the fence looking for where it came down. "Originally I thought it must have been an experimental-type aircraft, but nothing has emerged like that after all these years,'' she said.
She says she was called into the headmaster's office and interrogated by three men: "They had good-quality suits and were well spoken. They said, 'I suppose you saw little green men'? "I spoke to my parents about it at the time and they were pretty outraged. Retired engineer Kevin Hurley, a Monash Uni student then, missed the saucers but saw the aftermath. "There were army or air force people in the area, he said. "I'm pretty sure they were going around the area with geiger counters or metal detectors. "I'm not a freak that thinks Martian people are coming. I don't think that kind of stuff, but it's bugged me. "After 44 years, I reckon they need to come clean on this.

The smoking gun - Alien material found?

It's frightening to hear what happens when a team of scientists analyzes material said to be of extra-terrestrial origin, and schedules a news conference. The website and computer hosting the website disappear during 'normal maintenance', many people die and Dr. Roger Lier, the owner of the material is fearful having this material in his possession..

In another test, Dr. Leir has an 'implant' that he removed from someone experiencing 'alien abduction' phenomenon. Tests also reveal unusual structure. Some UFO discs have said to have landed in Alaska on the snow in deserted areas. Wendell Stevens notes this was documented by the US Air-force running missions out of Alaska, during de-briefing sessions. It interesting to note that there are triangular indentations, and a round shape in the snow and ice, with no footprints round about. Many trace cases have the round shape and the triangular shaped 'landing gear' - which leads me to believe this may have been caused by a saucer.

Many environmental oddities and natural phenomenon may in fact be the cause of UFO sightings. Now just because there is a UFO doesn't mean its an environmental oddity or natural cause, but often UFO believers jump to conclusions about what they think to be extra-terrestrial and in fact its simply nature in its wonderful glory. Sailing Stones
The mysterious moving stones of the packed-mud desert of Death Valley have been a center of scientific controversy for decades. Rocks weighing up to hundreds of pounds have been known to move up to hundreds of yards at a time. Some scientists have proposed that a combination of strong winds and surface ice account for these movements. However, this theory does not explain evidence of different rocks starting side by side and moving at different rates and in disparate directions. Moreover, the physics calculations do not fully support this theory as wind speeds of hundreds of miles per hour would be needed to move some of the stones.

Columnar Basalt
When a thick lava flow cools, it contracts vertically but cracks perpendicular to its directional flow with remarkable geometric regularity - in most cases forming a regular grid of remarkable hexagonal extrusions
that almost appear to be made by man. One of the most famous such examples is the Giant's Causeway on the coast of Ireland (shown above), though the largest and most widely recognized would be Devil's Tower in Wyoming . Basalt also forms different but equally fascinating ways when eruptions are exposed to air or water.

Blue Holes
Blue holes are giant and sudden drops in underwater elevation that get their name from the dark and foreboding blue tone they exhibit when viewed from above in relationship to surrounding waters.
They can be hundreds of feet deep and while divers are able to explore some of them they are largely devoid of oxygen that would support sea life due to poor water circulation - leaving them eerily empty.
Some blue holes, however, contain ancient fossil remains that have been discovered, preserved in their depths.

Red Tides
Red tides are also known as algal blooms - sudden influxes of massive amounts of colored single-cell algae that can convert entire areas of an ocean or beach into a blood red color. While some of these can be relatively harmless, others can be harbingers of deadly toxins that cause the deaths of fish, birds and marine mammals. In some cases, even humans have been harmed by red tides though no human exposure are known to have been fatal. While they can be fatal, the constituent phytoplankton in ride tides are not harmful in small numbers.

Ice Circles
While many see these apparently perfect ice circles as worthy of conspiracy theorizing, scientists generally accept that they are formed by eddies in the water that spin a sizable piece of ice in a circular motion.
As a result of this rotation, other pieces of ice and flotsam wear relatively evenly at the edges of the ice until it slowly forms into an essentially ideal circle. Ice circles have been seen with diameters of over 500 feet
and can also at times be found in clusters and groups of different sizes as shown above.

Mammatus Clouds
True to their ominous appearance, mammatus clouds are often harbingers of a coming storm or other extreme weather system. Typically composed primarily of ice, they can extend for hundreds of miles in each direction
and individual formations can remain visibly static for ten to fifteen minutes at a time.While they may appear foreboding they are merely the messengers - appearing around, before or even after severe weather.

Fire Rainbows
A circumhorizontal fire rainbow arc occurs at a rare confluence of right time and right place for the sun and certain clouds. Crystals within the clouds refract light into the various visible waves of the spectrum
but only if they are arrayed correctly relative to the ground below. Due to the rarity with which all of these events happen in conjunction with one another, there are relatively few remarkable photos of this phenomena.

Sinkholes
Sinkholes are one of the world's scariest natural phenomena. Over time, water erodes the soil under the planet's surface until in some cases, quite suddenly, the land above gives way and collapses into the earth.
Many sinkholes occur naturally while others are the result of human intervention. Displacing groundwater can open cavities while broken pipes can erode otherwise stable subterranean sediments. Urban sinkholes, up to hundreds of feet deep have formed and consumed parts of city blocks, sidewalks and even entire buildings.

Penitentes
Named after peak-hooded New Mexican monks (lower right above), penitentes are dazzling naturally-forming ice blades that stick up at sharp angles toward the sun. Rarely found except at high altitudes,
they can grow up taller than a human and form in vast fields. As ice melts in particular patterns,
'valleys' formed by initial melts leave 'mountains' in their wake. Strangely, these formations ultimately slow the melting process as the peaks cast shadows on the deeper surfaces below and allow for winds to blow over the peaks, cooling them.

Lenticular Clouds
Ever wonder the truth about UFOs? Avoided by traditional pilots but loved by sailplane aviators,
lenticular clouds are masses of cloud with strong internal uplift that can drive a motorless flyer to high elevations. Their shape is quite often mistaken for a mysterious flying object or the artificial cover for one. Generally, lenticular clouds are formed as wind speeds up while moving around a large land object such as a mountain.

Light Pillars
Light pillars appear as eerily upright luminous columns in the sky, beacons cast into the air above without an apparent source. These are visible when light reflects just right off of ice crystals from either the sun (as in the two top images above) or from artificial ground sources such as street or park lights. Despite their appearance as near-solid columns of light, the effect is entirely created by our own relative viewpoint.

Sundogs
Like light pillars, sundogs are the product of light passing through crystals. The particular shape and orientation of the crystals can have a drastic visual impact for the viewer, producing a longer tail and changing the range of colors one sees. The relative height of the sun in the sky shifts the distance the sundogs appear to be on either side of the sun. Varying climactic conditions on other planets in our solar system
produce halos with up to four sundogs from those planets' perspectives. Sundogs have been speculated about and discussed since ancient times and written records describing the various attributes of our sun
date back the Egyptians and Greeks.

Fire Whirls
Fire whirls (also known as fire devils or tornadoes) appear in or around raging fires when the right combination of climactic conditions is present. Fire whirls can be spawned by other natural events
such as earthquakes and thunderstorms, and can be incredibly dangerous, in some cases spinning well out of the zone of a fire itself to cause devastation and death in a radius not even reached by heat or flame.
Fire whirls have been known to be nearly a mile high, have wind speeds of over 100 miles per hour
and to last for 20 or more minutes.

Orange Moons
This last phenomena is something most people have seen before- beautiful orange moon hanging low in the sky. But what causes this phenomena- and, for that matter, does the moon have a color at all? When the moon appears lower on the horizon, rays of light bouncing off it, have to pass through a great deal more of our atmosphere which slowly strips away everything but yellows, oranges and reds.The bottommost image above is true to the hues of the moon but has enhanced colors to more clearly show the differences in shade
that illustrate the mixed topography and minerology that tell the story of the moon's surface.Looking at the colors in combination with the craters one can start to trace the history of impacts and consequent material movements across the face of our mysterious moon.

Two most trustworthy aliens abductions

Here are two astounding abduction cases. Both of these cases have interesting proofs, Travis Walton's abduction was seen by his buddies, a tree felling crew, whom all passed lie detector tests and seemed very scared and worried about what had occurred. Jesse Long's story seems to have some trace physical evidence in the form of an implant that was removed from his leg. If you don't enjoy horror movies, don't watch parts of the regression and re-enactments which in my opinion are gross in the extreme. I don't know why we also have to suffer through these - although it does give one a concept of what these poor people must be going through, whether these are real or imagined experiences.

What I find absolutely fascinating is the likeness of Jesse Long and his interviewer Whitley Streiber - Whitley is also an abductee and isn't it strange how similar they seem. This brings me to my next point - As a student of the Jewish Talmud, Zohar and traditional texts, I believe that these are shaidim or malachim - i.e. demons or angels - the greys are similar to the shaidim mentioned in the talmud and their agenda is in fact a breeding program, as mentioned by the zohar. In fact, they may be unable to breed without the human race. They could also be part of the angels that 'came down to marry the daughters of man' - they were all killed out in biblical times, but perhaps some of their progeny existed in some small genetic way from human marriages to these offspring (current multiple abductees may be descendants) - perhaps they are trying to re-invent themselves because they cannot get back to their planet or source in 'heaven' - following this hypothesis, perhaps their interest in specific people relates to a specific DNA sequence that enabled those first generation of angels to interbreed with the human race. I would think that they are not doing these experiments of breeding in order to hurt us, although clearly they do, but in order to survive themselves. It could be that they are looking for the one thing humans have which they don't, and that is free will to do what they want. Angels and demons are by nature unable to go against G-d or exercise free will, as many people mention they are often robotic in manner.
Now don't get me wrong - there are races of these beings that are evil and they are not to be viewed as being friendly, although some may be. We are best leaving them alone, as long as they don't bother us. Keep away from their areas ie. dark and uninhabited areas, don't sleep alone far from civilization except in groups and if you sleep alone, make sure to keep the lights on. And never try to communicate with them in any way even in thought as you may open up a door that cannot be closed. They are mostly scared of light and many people together - but in their territory they may be more bold according to the talmud in 'Brachos'. Another thing is that although Judaism doesn't subscribe to the 'good' against 'evil' doctrine as in some other religions - Judaism sees good and evil as part of G-d's will (without evil how could there be good and reward in the world to come) - yet there is some conflict between to forces of evil and good and as we come closer to messianic times, the forces of the good start to overcome the forces of evil - both evil and good have angels associated with them, and just as the world is in a tumult and there are wars and threats of Armageddon, so too in heaven, the same battles are being fought. Israel will come under attack (don't we see the writing on the wall!)as all the nations come against G-d's nation of priests and the world is going to be shaken - only one fifth of the people of the world, and Israel will survive according to these Jewish texts - a scary thought. I suppose it's time to be good people and start helping others. Read the book of Jonah!

It seems that there is new hope for hacker and persona non-grata in the USA, Gary McKinnon. Gary who suffers from Asperger Syndrome, is being extradited to the USA for allegedly hacking into NASA computers to find out if UFO's are real. He is being blamed for causing damages to their computer system, but many think its an effort to make an example of him for delving too far into the UFO secrets that the US military, or perhaps a shadowy government, is trying hard to cover up. The overall Public concensus in the UK is that he should be tried in the UK not in the US. Police sightings in Illinois - Alien craft or Military Hi-Tech

Surely some of the best witness testimony must come from the Police. The police are on the front line of calls to 911 or their emergency number. In one amazing night, many police officers are sent to investigate a mysterious light and extremely large object flying over Illinois. With the help of animation artists and scientific analysis, this sighting has been re-created and suggests one of two possibilities - a secret military project - perhaps a stealth blimp. Could it be an alien space vehicle? Some of the characteristics seem to indicate that it's not from the US military machine, even from advanced technology - the speed of travel and sheer size of the object is amazing!

Connection between Human Abduction and Animal Mutilation

Yesterday I posed the question whether there is a connection between Human Abduction by 'UFO's' and beings from those craft, and if so, what is the connection. This question takes into account that there is such a thing as alien abduction of humans, and animal mutilations.

Skeptics claim that alien abductions is simply sleep paralysis, and animal mutilations are simply predators consuming certain parts of a dead animal. Check out THIS interesting post on cattle mutilations
This blog is called Authentic UFO's because I try to be skeptical and will only post (I hope) what I consider to be authentic, and if I think there may be another explanation, I try to state those views, even if I disagree personally, or quote the person who states the view.

My personal belief is that there are animal and even human mutilations; and that alien abduction, especially at night while a person is awake and in isolated places (such as the Benny and Barney Hill story, Travis Walton - see pic, and others) are likely to be real experiences and not hallucinations. This based on what is stated in the Jewish Talmud written about 2000 years ago. In an isolated place, these aliens (whoever they may be) may even attack and abduct more than one person or even a group.
They are unlikely to attack where there is light and people in groups are usually safe unless 'in their territory' i.e. in isolated places.

People claim to be abducted from their homes and even in big cities such as New York. It may be possible that this is sleep paralysis, but maybe its really happening. After all, the abduction experience has common threads running through the story - so if its a dream or even sleep paralysis, how could everyone have the same identical scenario. There are many other reasons why it may well be a real experience. Take for example implants that have been found by Dr. Lier and others and surgically removed. These may be tracking devices or serve some other purpose such as reporting on changes in the body. Now it may not necessarily be that the person is taken from their location into a space ship or UFO - if they are inter-dimensional beings, perhaps they can do this while the person is in their bed and they are experiencing this other dimension. Or perhaps it does happen that they are removed from their bedrooms and possibly other people in the apartment or house are dealt with by making them unable to move, as some have reported. Some report finding themselves in bed with signs that they have been outside, such as feet covered in mud or leaves in the bed. The most common sign is lost time, where a person suddenly finds themselves in another place, almost as if they moved instantaneously, but its two or more hours later and they have no recollection of what has happened. In addition, many people tell these stories under hypnosis (which may or may not be reliable, but certainly seems to be fairly reliable). Others have passed lie detector tests, and some have failed, such as Jeff Peckman, who I personally feel is a hoaxer, but others are entitled to disagree. Most UFO abductee's experience high strangeness. There have been reports of neighbors seeing strange lights inside an abductee's home on a night they were supposedly abducted. Many abductee's suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder which indicates that something serious and frightening happened. Most people talk of the feeling of fear which seems to be induced by the experience. Scientists were able to create similar feelings by using magnetic forces on the brain. Many people become abductee's after seeing a UFO, which could mean they are tagged somehow for later use. In the USA one scientist found that animals were coated with an ultraviolet substance after lights were seem in the sky and some of those coated were later found mutilated.

I'm not convinced these 'Aliens' come from other planets or star systems, but they may. Why is it impossible for them to have lived here on earth since the beginning of time. Perhaps they are simply a highly intelligent species that has always lived here on earth and have the ability to travel into space as we do.

Perhaps they are even a previous generation that explored space and came back in a deformed state. The Jewish Kabballah states that the tower of Babel was really a method to explore space to try to wage war with G-d. Jewish commentators from before the modern age comment that it was a tower with fire underneath (a rocket?) It states that they went to the moon but came back as monkeys. Maybe they mastered time travel but it had disastrous effects! The Kabballah also mentions that many of the Jewish sages of olden times could create a 'flying tower' - some people have claimed to see UFO's that look like a building flying through the air. Another explanation is that the people of the Tower of Babel (the Sumerian's with Nimrod as their leader) had the ability to capture demons (the grey's and harmful beings?) and angels (benevolent beings) and they used their knowledge to build supernatural craft that could fly up to the ends of the heavens. Their goal was to enable themselves to free themselves from the Supreme Being - an obviously stupid proposition, but they tried anyway. In fact some commentators go as far as to say that human spirit is so great that they actually may have had a chance of success (since G-d generally hides himself from humanity and does not perform miracles except in exceptional circumstances) and therefore G-d confused their language so that they would not achieve this goal. Without human unity people will fight and thats what we see through all generations since that time - war after war. Many abductee's mention that they have seen humans during abductions. Since it is possible to use angels and demons for ones own use if they are 'captured' - perhaps some secret agency is using them to do things they could not, such as abducting people and using animals for genetic experiments. That would be more frightening in a way, that simple alien abduction.

Going back to aliens, there do seem to be two kinds, those that seem to have what we would call evil intentions and those who are benevolent and helpful. It seems that these two forces may be fighting each other (perhaps what religions call the war of the forces of bad against good). The Jewish texts also states that there may be beings that come from other planets - this may be in addition to angels and demons. In fact one such civilization is punished according some texts because they never came to aid Israel against Sennacherib, king of Assyria. It's also possible they are beings from other dimensions. The Kabballah says there are 8 different dimensions.

They may also be time travelers, or simply there may be places in the world where time is distorted and people are moved momentarily to a different time. Such reports have been heard of people seeing or even being in a past time and reporting on events that happened, and possibly even bring proof that they saw objects in a certain location - which only later was discovered to be true. Whatever the case - if these UFO's and abductions are real - what is the purpose and why the mutilation of animals and why are people returned after having various procedures, such as having semen removed or pregnancy implants into woman? It could be that these beings cannot reproduce without human aid - could it be that they need to construct their own children, Frankenstein way - by using parts from animals and then using human sperm and wombs for producing their children?!

Another possibility is that they are supernatural spiritual type beings that don't have the one thing that only humans have - and that is free-will to do good or bad. Jewish texts state that the spiritual beings don't have free will. That may explain the Bible when it states that the angels desired woman and married them - creating giants. Why did they desire them, surely angelic woman must be more beautiful than human woman - perhaps they desired to have free-will like humans and that was their desire. Perhaps this latest abduction spree is a repetition of that desire in olden times. Many abductee's feel that their abductors have no feelings - that would be because they have no free will. They may not understand how abduction could be painful to humans. Could it be that in the cases of human mutilations, if they exist, it is when the human subject became too violent for the captors forcing them to defend themselves with fatal consequences?! Once the subject is killed the mutilation takes place as they have no respect for the human body. Could it be that some of these beings are so evil that they would kill people and even eat them? According to Jewish texts there are some very evil entities reserved for punishing exceedingly evil people. I once heard or saw and article that stated that the US government is keeping this a secret because human remains have been found in some saucer crashes. That would certainly be enough to scare the population of the US, although by in large, most abductee's seem to be returned.

Often people abducted claim that they were told by the aliens that 'they cannot interfere' to protect the earth - it seems to be a recurring theme that they tell humans about how they are destroying the world. It seems they cannot interfere directly. The secrecy and the illusive nature of these craft would suggest that they cannot interfere or be seen, although it seems that they have difficulty in meeting these restrictions, especially since the advent of the video camera. The fact that they do interfere and abduct people and take animals seems to be ironic if they 'are not allowed to interfere'!

Whats this business about UFO's, Beams of Light and Animal Mutilations

You may have heard of Alien Abductions, where people are apparently abducted and taken aboard UFO's either at night or in isolated places. What is animal mutilation, and what is the connection between human and animal abduction. It seems humans are generally returned, but the animals are mutilated, although there have been some strange deaths and even some human mutilations. Around the world, many farmers have noticed strange happenings. A night filled with strange lights in the sky, sometimes coinciding with black military helicopters, and then dead animals, untouched by predators, with the blood drained, eyes, tongue and sexual organs and specific other parts removed with precision cuts with what seems to be only possible with advanced laser technology. No footprints are found and often it looks as if the animal was dropped from the sky from a height. This strange phenomenon has been investigated by a US Senator, the CIA, Law Enforcement in the US, and also now in the UK. There seems to be specific locations in the UK. Members of the "Animal Pathology Field Unit" in the UK have identified a UFO hotspot in the UK, where locals say the skies are lit up by flashing lights and dozens of sheep have been mutilated by mysterious forces. The British Earth and Aerial Mysteries Society was Founded in 1991 and the society consists of a team of active reporters and field investigators who factually gather, study and disseminate evidence relating to Earth Mysteries, (e.g. Ley Lines, Terrestrial Energies and Ancient Site Anomalies), Strange Aerial Happenings, (e.g. Unidentified Flying Objects or UFO's), and The Paranormal, (e.g. Spirit and Psychic Phenomena).

They were given some video testimony from an amazing piece of footage, shot in September 2009, at night above Overton, (nearby Laverstoke), Basingstoke, Hampshire, United Kingdom. A Witness, one Derek Bridges, saw a strange light take-off from a local farm field at Laverstoke from his lounge window, and he grabbed his video camera and started filming. Overton and Laverstoke is a rural area with large farming areas with animals such as horses, sheep, cows and Bison. When reviewing the footage he noticed a moving object underneath the light which looked like an animal or two, legs kicking, being pulled into the UFO. There is no noise coming from the aerial phenomenon, besides for a strange shrill or vibrating sound which is audible on the video. This sound is apparently similar to sounds sometimes heard inside crop circles, before, during or after formation. More on the sounds in a later post. The researchers believe that the footage is 100% genuine and are prepared to stake their reputation on it. The land which seems to have been targeted by the UFO belongs to F1 racing hero and driver Jody Scheckter, who runs the largest water buffalo farm in the UK. They cross checked with the farm if any animals were missing and much to their amazement two animals were missing on the 29th September, a day following the video footage. They checked and there are no street lights or anything that may be the cause of these strange lights.

According to The Sun - quoted by i09:
Phil Hoyle, 53, who has spent nine years probing the riddle of livestock found killed, said of the night-time spectacle last month: "For a short while it looked more like a Star Wars battle." Next day he interviewed farmers and "all but one had had some type of unusual disappearance of animals or deaths with strange injuries" . . . The retired steelworker, who lives near Shrewsbury, Shrops, said: "Animals are being clinically and surgically sampled by a highly advanced technology." He and members of his 15-strong team saw the UFOs at work as they spent a night at a Welsh hill farm monitoring the skies around the Radnor Forest. The spheres not only fired mysterious rays but sent out smaller versions of themselves, which he believes performed the grisly experiments.
He said: "The technology involved in these attacks is frightening. These lights and spheres are clearly not ours. "They are built by technology and intelligence that's not from here."Phil said the UFOs like to roam a specific 50-mile "corridor" between Shrewsbury and Powys. But Dartmoor and the Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire are other hunting grounds. Sheep have been found with neat holes and their brains and other internal organs removed. Others have lost eyes or had their flesh carefully stripped away, usually on the left side. Phil said of his team: "We've devoted our lives to carrying out serious research into the animal mutilation mystery and its connections to the increasingly reported sightings of red and orange spheres." i09 also reports Utterly Compelling Evidence That A Cow Was Abducted By A UFO I can't say that I am compelled by the evidence, as it could just be a bird, but for what it's worth take a look at that post. One comment by 'garnic' on the i09 article says as follows:- When I was in S.Africa in the 70s, I was told by a Zulu from Natal province, that their legends told of a small red sun that would come from the sky and take cattle. He couldn't say just how long into the past that had been happening. Also, some tree planters in Washington State, USA, said they saw a UFO lifting up an elk, so it's not just cows they want! Tree planters smoke a lot of weed though, so maybe they all imagined it...

However the video taken by Derek Bridges and on the BEAMS website seems more authentic.

The following video clip shows an interesting image of what is supposedly an alien or Extra-Terrestrial entity. Although the tape is a little fuzzy, I think this footage is interesting and proper analysis of the tape may be able to verify that it was not created artificially. Even so, its not the 'smoking gun' that the skeptic are looking for, although it certainly strengthens the case for non-human entities existing. Here is a famous case from Mexico, brought to the world by Jamie Maussan, a famous UFO investigator and television presenter. In the video you see a alien with a long arm reaching out from behind the pole and trying to grab a kid that was going to grab a ball that was kicked too far. Notice the fear in the voices of the youths - that would take world class acting to fake.

Strange Encounter North Orange County California

Hat tip to Phantoms and Monsters for THIS interesting story, which stands out as possible witness testimony. Although it's relying on scientifically weak evidence, there are factors which tend to suggest this account may be truthful. My father was a lawyer at the Johannesburg Bar in South Africa and was once asked to evaluate some paranormal affidavits for their truthfulness. He mentioned that there were about 30 reports and there were a number - between 5 and 10 that he considered to be truthful accounts, based on his many years experience in many facets of law including criminal and murder cases. A trained person, can pick out fact from fiction just in the way the encounter is presented. Here is a small excerpt from this interesting letter written by the father of 'Ken':- "The creature was about 4-5 foot tall and a bit frail looking. He wore a one-piece light blue bodysuit that had an iridescent look to it. It wore high black boots that seemed to glow from the bottom. The face had a well pronounced chin, tiny round eyes, holes where the ears should had been and a large bald head. As I watched, the creature looked like it was having trouble walking." Check it out!
There are similarities to the beings supposedly seen in Gateshead in 1940 - see my post a few days ago - HERE Also mentioned in that video clip is a gorilla type being - see in the video clip part 2 from 1.40 minutes (2.12 minutes to be exact). For those who want to read more about the connection between bigfoot and UFO's take a look at THIS post. According to Dr Jacobs and other abduction researchers, there are sometimes different types of beings appearing after a UFO event, including often greys, a human like being and a 'bigfoot' type being. At this time there only seems to be witness testimony in most cases from abductees and contactees. Of course, it's essential that each case should be taken on it's merits and I'm not for a moment suggesting this would be scientific proof. What I will say is that some of these 'stories' seem genuine and not made up - however far fetched they may seem and some explanation needs to be found for these strange experiences. Its a big deal if thousand of people are having these similar hallucinations - if thats what they are - and this must be investigated by scientists and psychologists. Perhaps the truth is closer than we would like to believe and just maybe these people are reporting true events as they happened.

Here are some interesting accounts of people who have experienced these strange encounters. Dr. John E. Mack appears only briefly in this documentary and the alien encounter investigator Budd Hopkins is featured. It documents visits to the New England countryside with experiencers, including a couple who videotaped an unidentified flying object hovering above a lake a few hours before they were abducted from their lakeside cottage. In this documentary and we have a more leisurely pace not seen in other documentaries on American cable television, and this gives the viewer more time to see the experiencers explain themselves fully. Some of their 'testimony' is riveting - especially when its a child and you see the fear on their face and hear it in their voice. One of the best interviews in the program is not with an experiencer at all, but rather with the husband of an experiencer, who matter-of-factly explains how his family has come to terms with his wifes experiences.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Bright white lights and strange, triangular shaped objects, Tennesseans are reporting some unusual things overhead. For decades many people have reported seeing UFO's. A recent poll shows one in 12 Americans have seen a mysterious object in the sky, and that a third of adults believe it's likely aliens have visited earth. While some say the increase in volume of reports in Tennessee are enough to make any investigator sit up and take notice, others say it's all in their heads.

Here is a clip from 'My Fox' Memphis which is interesting, especially the pilot sighting. Although I agree with the skeptic that a 'light in the sky' is usually just a light in the sky, I cannot disagree more with the skeptic on his statement that pilots and people are poor observers - Pilots and people are good at describing what they see and if anything, they are great witnesses. There is a problem when people interpret what they see without due caution and without an open mind. If we have a pilot that says he saw an object that he cannot explain, has taken a moment to attempt an explanation, and still cannot interpret what he saw, then it need proper investigation. To brush it off saying 'it's nothing but a light' is a poor solution. As the MUFON investigator so rightly explains - were not claiming it's necessarily extra-terrestrial - but what is it??? It's within the real of possibility that there is an unknown species that resides on earth which has the ability to make these craft - or beings from another dimension, time travelers or perhaps even a 'time-warp' where we are seeing a future event at an earlier time. We cannot take 'extraterrestrial' away as an option either - it is a possibility when there is no rational explanation. What is required is an explanation of these events that are clearly happening, and for that matter, have been happening throughout history. Jordan: Newspaper's April Fools' UFOs cause panic - In a scene similar to October 1938 when the War of the Worlds, a radio drama, was broadcast by CBS live on Halloween Eve; A Jordanian newspaper finds itself in 'hot water' for reporting that a UFO and aliens had landed near the desert town of Jafr, some 185 miles (300 kilometers) from the capital, Amman.

The report said the UFOs lit up the whole town, interrupted communications and sent fearful residents streaming into the streets. The ensuing panic included Jafr's mayor, Mohammed Mleihan, who got caught up in the paper's prank and said he sent security authorities in search of the aliens. "Students didn't go to school, their parents were frightened and I almost evacuated the town's 13,000 residents," Mleihan told The Associated Press. "People were scared that aliens would attack them." 'War of the Worlds' was produced and directed by Orson Welles of the Mercury Theatre Players and based upon the 1898 H.G. Wells novel. Many have sighted the panic and fear as the reason for the lack of disclosure on the UFO subject. People say that the information would be too much for the general population to accept and could cause panic. It's clear that opinions of those 'in the know' differ on disclosure, some support and others don't. It seems that we are going through a slow process of disclosure, to quote my favorite UFO personality, Nick Pope, we are having disclosure with a small 'd'. I don't believe that we will ever get the full story as members of the public and even if Obama would say public that UFO's exist and we have alien visitation, you can be sure that the important information on the subject will be highly classified, and we may never be told the real truth.In some ways disclosure would prevent panic because people would say - oh yeah, aliens, we heard about that - yes they are here. and then lets get on with daily life!

Witness Testimony - Ross Nesbit about his Interesting Encounter with Saucers and others

Here is a witness testimony from a very believable witness. An apparently True Account of a UFO. Ross Nesbit saw this UFO during the Ice Storm in Mississippi 1967. I have been meaning to write about the different types of witness testimony and how some people are more believable than others. The best way to describe the differences are to see some examples which are self explanatory. My personal feeling is that Ross is telling the truth

And here Bill Johnson of desertjournalonline tells about his 1964 UFO sighting in Albuquerque, New Mexico - perhaps if he skipped the dramatization, he would be more believable - but as they say - where there is smoke there is fire. Why are so many people coming forward to report these weird occurrences. Every new story adds 'smoke' - i.e. evidence, although I can't honestly say this adds much smoke.

And here is another one from November 1988 - A UFO sighting "with pictures". I have serious doubts about the reliability of this one! It just seems like her fantasy is running away with her and perhaps she is spinning a creative story. I seriously doubt the part about telepathic viewing of the crafts instrument panel. Now, I'm not saying that she doesn't believe this or that it couldn't have happened - but this is not what I would call 'evidence' that would stand up in court!

Here is a more believable story of a personal experience involving a UFO. He make no claims as to the origins of what he saw. He could not at the time identify what it was and still to this day have not come up with a plausible natural explanation.

Holographic Images as a weapon

I have just watched this interesting video on Holographic Imagery. The suggestion is that the US government is experimenting with holographic images for military and physco-military purposes. Apparently, images and even sound can be generated and cause people to see and hear things that don't really exist. The suggestion is that this could be a source of some UFO related incidents, such as the Phoenix lights and other mass sightings. Although this sounds plausible and perhaps even scientifically probable - It surely cannot be the basis of all UFO and paranormal events. It does sound as if this could have some serious military use and could be used to overpower and mislead an enemy, I find it hard to take that a step further to say that all paranormal events are to be explained this way. In any case - it's worth looking at these clips and to realize that these things are possible and there is reason for caution.

Needles California UFO Sighting and Crash in May 2008

A strange blue flaming object shot across the river near needles California and crashed near the bank in May 2008. 17 minutes later military helicopters arrived to scoop the glowing object away. The Hessdalen Lights and similar Unidentified Aeriel Phenomenon

Hessdalen is a small valley in the central part of Norway. Between 1981 and 1984, residents of the Valley became concerned and alarmed about strange, unexplained lights that appeared at many locations throughout the Valley. Hundreds of lights were observed. At the peak of this activity there were about 20 reports a week. No official institute with governmental support in Norway seems to be interested in these strange lights. Five individual researchers began their own research project in 1983 called Project Hessdalen. A field investigation was carried out between January and February 1984. 53 light observations were made during the field investigations. Lights are still being observed in the Hessdalen Valley, but their frequency has decreased to about 20 observations a year. An automatic measurement station was put up in Hessdalen in August 1998. According to Wikipedia the "Hessdalen Lights" are unexplained lights (a type of Will-o'-the-wisp ) usually seen in the valley of Hessdalen, Norway. These lights are well known and have been recorded and studied by physicists. One explanation attributes the phenomenon to an incompletely understood combustion process in the air involving clouds of dust from the valley floor containing scandium. Some sightings, though, have been identified as misperceptions of astronomical bodies, aircraft, car headlights, and mirages. However, many classify these lights as UFO's and they show very similar characteristics to UFO's seen around the world. UFO over Pretoria / South Africa 1996

Interesting news report from South Africa. This UFO was filmed by a policemen on duty in Pretoria South Africa and was also chased by a police helicopter. It seems that something unexplainable was seen. Was is a UFO or simply a balloon or advertising blimp? It would seem from the testimony of the helicopter pilot that there was something strange and unexplained. I'm not convinced it was a UFO - but there is merit to this case because of the multiple witnesses. Its a pity that radar and other evidence was not evaluated.

On a personal note - I was in Johannesburg South Africa in 1987 and was awoken in the early hours of the morning by a deafening explosion, which sounded like it had gone off outside our window. The window almost shattered from the blast. On investigation nothing was found and we woke up to the news that this noise had been heard all over the city. It could have been a meteorite I suppose. I have always wondered what that was - no explanation was ever given.

witnessed UFO's and also have had close encounters with entities of unknown origin.

This subject is being researched by scientists who are now investigating this phenomenon more intensely. It’s a pity that the subject was ridiculed and many good scientists were steered away from it.

Tag along as MUFON investigates the intriguing case of The Fayetteville Incident. This show was aired on Discovery during 2008 as part of their UFOs Over Earth series. In this show how the MUFON investigators check out what some may believe is a 'tall tale' from a gentleman in Fayetteville. It turns out that it isn't such a tall tale, and there is some interesting evidence. At the end of the investigation, it doesn't turn out quite like you may expect. This documentary shows how difficult it can be to investigate and prove beyond doubt UFO sightings and close encounters. One gets a close up view of the professional work done by MUFON.

By the way - I personally do believe his story, but being a scientist - I have to express some doubt. There is no rock solid evidence, but it doesn't mean it didn't happen. There are parts of the story that have similarities to other sightings, but there is no genuine corroborating evidence. How frustrating this must have been to the folks at MUFON. So close but so far - this case shows the problems in investigating these stories. It does seem that if there are entities and UFO craft, they make sure hide and leave minimal evidence. That is certainly part of the mystery.

I posted a previous item about Dr. Ted Phillips called Ted Phillips - Another great Scientist and wish to add some more information on this scientist, because of his great contribution to the science of UFO's. At one time the Center for UFO studies was receiving a case every 19 hours from all around the world!!! Ted gets my Vote!

Ted Phillips was one of the people involved with project Bluebook, and one of the main researchers involved in physical trace research of UFO landing sites. He is currently the Director of The Center for Physical Trace Research (CPTR). The Special Investigations Unit of the CPTR investigates active UFO sites. The team posts investigative logs along with images and video obtained during site visits in the field. Here is the LINK to his website

He began investigating UFO reports in 1964 and was a research associate of Dr. J. Allen Hyneks from 1968 until Dr. Hyneks death in 1986. It was at Allen Hyneks suggestion that he began specializing in physical trace research of UFO sightings forty years ago. Phillips has personally investigated hundreds of UFO cases and his files contain 3,189 physical landing traces from 91 countries.

The teams primary purpose is to insert itself into an area of developing activity while the site is still fresh. The SIU has five highly qualified researchers and has the only dive team in the U.S. geared toward the investigation of USOs and similar anomalies.

Ted Phillips, is an engineer, as well as a professional photographer and musician. He participated in the Vanguard Satellite Tracking Program and was a field engineer on the Minuteman Missile Project.

Phillips participated in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Aerospace Sciences meetings, along with Dr. Hynek, Jacque Vallee and Dr. David Saunders.

He was a member of a select team invited to meet with the United Nations secretary-General at the U.N., along with Dr. Hynek, Dr. Vallee and astronaut Gordon Cooper.

He has appeared on national television in numerous documentaries including In Search Of, NBC News White Papers, CBS News Special reports and the documentary movie, UFOs Are Real. Most recently, he was featured in Alien Encounters, a documentary on the History Channel.

Phillips current research projects include active UFO sites in the central U.S. and a major project in the Tatra Mountains of Slovakia. He will be briefing us on his latest research and some of his most fascinating previous cases.

One of the more unusual cases recounts the experience of an unidentified female who phoned RAF Wattisham in Norfolk in November 1989: 'She reported she was approached by a man who claimed to come from another planet, similar to earth. During the ten minute conversation, the man claimed his race was responsible for creating crop circles. What's more, he felt it was important for contact between the two peoples to occur. As she ran home, the woman heard a loud buzzing noise behind her, and turned to see a large, glowing spherical object rise steadily until out of sight'. There was apparently a near miss between a UFO and a plane flying into Manchester and this has been made public in the latest release by the MOD. The previously top secret papers include sketches of objects spotted in the skies.

McDonnell Douglas studied UFO's in the 1960's

According to Dr. Robert Wood, Retired Deputy Director of McDonnell Douglas, his company studied UFOs in the 1960s. This was part of an effort to understand future forms of space travel, before Lockheed! After suggesting they look into UFO's, he was appointed to head up a team to study the issue and come back with recommendations. After reading many books he came to the conclusion that UFO's were real, came from space and deserved study. Here is another documentary for your viewing pleasure, while you get educated on the UFO Phenomenon! I don't agree with the view that Mount Sinai was a UFO encounter. To say such a thing is ludicrous since the ancient Hebrews knew a lot about Angels and 'Shaidim' i.e. the greys and would not have been confused by them. Don't forget they just came out of Egypt, which according to many researchers and also ancient Hebrew texts were very involved with the greys and other paranormal beings. I would say the same with regards Elijah and Ezekiel - although it's within the realm of possibility that the angels they encountered used ships that would be similar in appearance to UFO's In addition the Angels were extremely intimidating and people were extremely overwhelmed according to the ancient texts.

Canada has been one of the most open countries with regards to the UFO subject and the famous quote by W.B. Witness to a UFO crash and interview with Jesse Marcel

Here is a little watched amazing documentary from the History channel which has some of the legends of UFO investigation and lore:- New York Lawyer Peter Gersten who sued for documents from the US government, Ray Fowler UFO investigator, Col Robert Friend - who headed up project Blue Book and Major General Jesse Marcel who personally handled the material from the Roswell crash. Some of these interviews will 'Blow your mind' - if this isn't witness testimony that can be believed, I don't know if you could believe anything anyone tells you. This is a must see!

Interesting Video Footage in Texas 2008 and Jaime Maussan

Here is an interesting video as well as a request advert to send video footage to Jaime Maussan who is one of the best UFO researchers in Mexico and has a TV show that specializes in the subject. Jaime Maussan was the producer of the local version of 60 minutes but switched to documenting UFO's when he became interested in the subject. Although some of the videos and information he presents would only be believed by hard-core UFO enthusiasts, his contribution to the subject and some of the amazing footage he presents is worth looking at. He is very candid and open when presenting information, allowing the viewers to make up their own minds, and this tactic really allows him to share all sorts of interesting facts and information, without damaging his credibility. He has some of the best and most interesting evidence and living in Mexico which seems to currently be a hotbed of this activity, it's not surprising.

Here is another video by Jaime Maussan - please be skeptical but at the same time it should be noted that these images seem to be similar to the beings seen during abduction experiences and they may well be genuine. One of the most important things to remember when studying UFO's is to get an over all picture of the subject matter - remember there is a saying 'there is no smoke without fire' and increasingly, although there are hoaxes out there, there is some truth also - even if it's 5% or 2% of genuine information - by following the pattern of reports one can start to draw some conclusions. At a certain stage one becomes more adept at weening out the garbage!

I am a big supporter of the views of Nick Pope who has a really balanced view on the UFO phenomenon and his figure of 2%-3% of reports to be taken seriously is a good estimate. Some people are so keen to see a UFO that they misidentify various natural or other objects as UFO's If a person sees a light out in the sky - there could be many explanations that should take precedence to a UFO type explanation. Only once every other options has been exhausted can one suggest a UFO as being the source.

Investigating the Abduction Experience

The abduction experience is perhaps one the the most troubling aspects of the UFO phenomenon. Most people who say they have been abducted are often viewed as mentally unstable by society. Perhaps resulted from the many 'fringe' elements and 'loony bin' factor when UFOs became a 'cult' in the early 60's and 70's. There were many strange people interviewed on television who claimed to be "Contactees" and having the most amazing trips to Mars , Venus and the rest of the galaxy. They had these incredible stories and were clearly basking in the limelight of 'fame' as they were interviewed by radio stations and the like. They claimed that they were good friends of aliens from different planetary systems, had been aboard these crafts and marveled at their experiences. In fact there was even a taxi driver in the UK who claimed to be in direct contact with aliens and started a religion or cult. Watching videos of their 'prayer' sessions has one feeling a tinge of sadness for these poor people and also at the same time feeling entertained by this extremely amusing scene being portrayed. Fiction could not have been written better.

HOWEVER, when it comes to the real alien abduction and the people who would rather not talk about their experiences - we are in a completely different ballpark. This is a very serious and frightening experience and those who have experienced this phenomenon are clearly, on the whole, normal people having abnormal experiences. They suffer from PTSD - post traumatic stress disorder - similar to people being in conflict zones, and it is clear that something is happening to these people.

I believe that abduction experiences can be classed into those who have been taken out in the country during trips into uninhabited locations and those where people seem to be abducted from within their bedrooms in populated cities.

Those that happened in the country such as Benny and Barney Hill, Travis Walters and others seem to follow a similar pattern, of seeing an object and them being taken up into the craft would seem to be less worrying than the abductions from within populated cities. The sleep paralysis theory cannot be used for those abducted in the country, sometimes in front of multiple witnesses. Lets say for a moment that these beings are from another planet, of which I'm not convinced, or even lets say, from the sea, or from hidden locations in the earth - there are many undiscovered species being found even today - abducting someone in a remote location is essentially being done on their turf.

However, those being abducted from the secure environment of their homes in big populated cities, really is a much more severe threat. This means that they have access to people even in their secure environment - almost like a fifth column. What it means is that they most likely come from other dimensions, or act with stealth and are able in some cases to penetrate into 'enemy' territory. As such there seems to be a greater threat to humankind from this type of abduction.

Many people believe the aliens are not threatening and that contact should be made - they want the US government to open their files and reveal all. But what if the truth is very frightening?

Many have suggested the need to make 'contact' with these beings and make use of their 'wonderful' technology, but I believe that it is a bad idea. The ancient texts speak of the dangers of making contact with the 'occult' and this is no different. The bible clearly advises against initiating contact with these beings - and looking at ancient history in India and the like would seem to back up that idea. See the ancient battles mentioned in Indian texts and possible nuclear fallout from a weapon 'brighter than a thousand suns'. The Sumerian's were clearly in contact with these beings and the ancient Egyptians also. Humankind should be very careful in opening the 'doorway' to whatever is behind these experiences. Have a look at this very interesting video by Dr. David Jacobs on the abduction experience and some of the latest findings. I have one comment to make which perhaps has not been thought about by abduction researchers - perhaps these beings are unable to reproduce on their own - perhaps their existence is tied to the human race. The most famous British UFO Mysteries that have not yet been solved! This is a great documentary with an interesting investigation into Britain's closest encounter on 31st March 1993 and we are not talking about Bentwaters! Although initial evidence pointed to the Russian Cosmos 2238, Nick Pope, in the ministry of defense, was in for a surprise and it was not the cause as intially thought beforehand.
